Bullying Prevention Month

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. I am proud of our school’s commitment to providing students with educational opportunities in a safe environment. However, like all school environments, issues of bullying and harassment occur. Preventing bullying and harassment is truly a team effort. We will succeed if students feel comfortable expressing bullying concerns and are confident that these concerns will be addressed. All staff must be observant and willing to confront behaviors in the school setting that are indicators that bullying is occurring. Parents can support our goal by monitoring their child’s behaviors and communicating concerns to school staff appropriately.
